What we keep, what Claude sees, and when we delete your files.
We're still writing our full privacy policy. Until it's published here, this page sets out what the service does today. Questions go to hello@turbopuffin.com.
Your account
To sign you in we keep your email address. You sign in with a passphrase we email you. Postshiba sends our emails for us. We keep a record of changes to people, keys, billing and files in each org, so its owners can see who did what.
Your files
We keep uploaded files, and the fixed versions, for 30 days and then delete them. You can delete a file sooner. Files you send to the API to fix right away come back to you and aren't stored.
Where it's stored
Your account and your files are stored on our servers at Hetzner, in Nuremberg, Germany.
What Claude sees
Claude, made by Anthropic, writes image descriptions and makes a few other decisions while we fix a file. It only sees what each job needs, never your whole file.
- To describe an image, it sees the cropped image and the text near it.
- To sort hidden text, it sees short snippets of that text.
- To find headings, it sees a picture of one page with the paragraphs we found on it.
- To set the title and language, it sees the opening text of the document.
Payments
Stripe handles cards and invoices. We never see your full card number.
This website
The app uses one cookie, to keep you signed in. The other pages use no cookies or trackers, and they load nothing from other companies.
