How Remediate fixes a PDF
First we check your PDF, then we fix it. Here's what happens at each step, what Claude does, and what we can't fix for you.

The check
We check your file against the PDF/UA standard, using the version it says it follows or the one you pick. Every problem gets a short name, a count of where it happens, and the accessibility guideline it affects.
Checking is part of every plan and doesn't use any of your pages.

The numbers are sections of PDF/UA-1, and each covers several checks.
The fix
Most fixes follow the standard to the letter. A few need judgment, like what an image shows, and Claude handles those. You don't need to answer anything.

If something can't be fixed
A few problems need the original file or a PDF editor, like fonts that were never included in the PDF. We fix everything else, then tell you what's left and how to fix it yourself.
